Lift - Banded box squats

  • Loop bands over both ends of the bar, tie both of the other ends to the bottom of the rack. Bands add 20-80lbs of extra tension depending on the thickness
  • 12 sets of 2 reps

Training - 12 min partner AMRAP

  • Score is total # of completed reps of sumo deadlift
  • One partner does 5 burpees + 20 unbroken DUs or 60 unbroken singles (mess up and you have to start over)
  • One partner does sumo deadlifts 155/315

Score: 80 reps, Rx (singles)

surprisingly sumo deadlifts felt GOOD at 155… even coach was like, those looked comfortable. damn maybe i should have gone for 185? eh whatever, i was happy we just got to 80 reps. getting better at my doubles! although i didn’t want to try them in the actual WOD today because otherwise my poor partner would have been on the bar the whole time, lol.
